Simple Search

Advanced Search

Simple Search

You can use the simple search function on the front page to search the whole of the Ethni-city site. If you want to target your search to specific categories, you should use the Advanced Search.

1. Type a keyword into the search box (e.g. older). Please note you must use whole words.

2. Click on Go

3. A list of results will be be displayed.

4. Click on the title to go to the entry.

5. To return to the list click on the Back button in your browser.

Advanced Search

You can use the Advanced Search to search in one or more categories only, rather than over the whole site.

1. Click on Advanced Search.

2. Type all or part of the name of an organisation (e.g. national trust)

OR

3. Type in a keyword (e.g. countryside)

Please note you must use whole words.

4. Click in the one or more of boxes – a tick should appear.

5. Click on Go.

6. A list of results will be be displayed.

7. Click on the title to go to the entry.

8. To return to the list click on the Back button in your browser.
